change you plugs and wires, make sure you arent throwing any codes, o2 sensors gotta be good, etc. maintenance is key for mileage.

also, you should be running premium in a GTP anyway since it has a blower on it. no boosted car should ever be run on 89.

no not really. once the heating element burns out then it is toast.

i usually get 19 mpg no matter how i drive. if i drive straight highway until i run out of gas i get 22.

There should be a label on the back side of your gas door that says "PREMIUM UNLEADED FUEL ONLY"

But, yea. Running premium is absolutely necessary of a boosted car. Otherwise, that little bit of money you saved by using regular gas will go to a very small part of getting a new motor.

On top of what has previously been mentioned, what kind of shape is your air filter in? If that's dirty, it'll decrease your efficiency some. A clogged PCV valve also plays a part in getting good fuel mileage.

I managed to get 31+ MPG driving through the Ozark mountains on my 1-hour drives between here and Ft. Smith.

Wow, that highway mileage is horrible. I can get 32-34MPG on a long highway trip.
