I was planning on getting the ZZP catback next month but I've heard so much on this forum about catbacks not being beneficial until your over the 300whp range. I already have Pacesetters Coated with a Catless D/P, EGR delete, and a 2.5" midpipe instead of the resonator. Should I just buy the mufflers that come in their $450+ system and weld them into my factory piping?
If they catch you in the back seat trying to pick her locks they're gonna send you back to mother in a cardboard box.

its all in what you want... i personally don't like the stock catback sound when someone has headers and mufflers ontheir car. i plan on buying zzp's catback for the sound alone because ive heard it and it sounds AWESOME! im gonna get their headers and catback when i get the money. if you get the zzp system... just make sure you get the resonator with it or it will sound very blatty. i would get the whole system... might as well get that 3 inch piping. youll probably want it in the future so spend it now or you will spend more later!

i would just buy mufflers if i were you. a catback is kind of a waste of money. there are guys making 350+ whp on a stock catback.

Thanks for the input, gonna go with just mufflers and use the money I saved on other things.

I agree with Bio, I would just stay with the stock catback. I don't understand why people talk about how much they hate the stock sound but then they get a catback to make it sound better? A 3800 will always sound like a 3800. If you don't like it stock, I'm worried you'll be disapointed when you go aftermarket. I for one love the sound of our l67 though. Sorry for this, /rant.

I guess you never heard the Borla on our cars. Def sounds better than stock, much deeper tone.

You misunderstood me. A borla exhaust may make a better sound to you. but it will STILL sound like a 3800.

"better" is a relative term. i dont want to hear any exhaust, only engine noise.

well i had a slp powerflo on my last gtp, and to me it sounded alot better, and alot different then stock exhaust sound. its all about what you want out of the car. as long as theres no fart cans involved to make the car sound like crap. the idea isn't to not make it sound like a 3800... it is to enhance the sound of the 3800
