I'm caught between buying TR8's and TR8 Iridiums. I know the Iridiums last a while but I hate the fact I can't gap them. Anyone have an opinion on either?

Also what gap should I run if I buy the TR8's (non-iridium)?? :
Car will have full exhaust, 3.25, and misc other little things, no motor work for the moment
If they catch you in the back seat trying to pick her locks they're gonna send you back to mother in a cardboard box.

Copper, ok I'll look into that.
Anyone have experience with running the TR8's? Iridium or not

NGK plugs are of very good quality. The real question is what setup are your running to need TR8's?

ok, name a plug thats copper and 4 heat ranges colder than stock. And one 3 stages colder also if you wouldn't mind.

Which should I run; 3 or 4? with 14 ibs of boost and full exhaust and all other supporting mods, in a warm climate?

My suggestion is AL103's or a Tr8 non platnum plug. All of those are copper plugs.

Remember Colder is not always better. You want to run the hottest plug you can without getting and detnation from it.

Someone want to tell me what's wrong with Iridium plugs in a FI application? AFAIK, they don't have the negative effects of platinum while having the longer life.

On the gapping issue, the reason they say not to gap Iridium plugs is because the electrode is so fragile. If you're VERY careful, you can adjust the gap.

    I'm thinking TR7 iridiums if I go with a 3.3 Pulley
And TR8 iridiums if I go with the 3.25

Anyone that knows the gtp's well have anymore input?

Like I said before the car will have full exhaust, intake, and all other supporting mods besides an i/c, will I knock with a 3.25 with these mods?, I currently run a 3.4 with 1* kr max (yes I scanned)

    tr6's.
With that setup you will foul the plugs alot quicker with anything colder.
The very small amount of knock reduction you will see with tr7s over tr6s will not matter when they foul out quickly and then you have more knock and random misfires.
nothing wrong with iridiums but for how much they help its not worth the cost most of the time.

What do you mean by full exhaust?

TR6's are fine, like mentioned above they won't foul near as fast.

I'm not quite sure why you are wanting to go so cold on the plugs or anything besides Copper. I would just buy Autolite 104's and be done with it. Also I'm not positive you have enough mods to run the 3.25 all the time. I personally have very similar mods as you if not more and still don't run my 3.25.

Personally I'd rather be safe than sorry. But do what you want it's your car.

Yeah I know I'm going with the 3.3 and when I do install it I will have much more done to the car.

My only question still left is what gap should I run with either 104's or Tr6's???

With a 3.3, headers, 3" D/p, ZZP catback, CAI, TB Spacer, ZZP T.Body and more (probably SSIC)

TR6s at .054 sound fine. You might have to play with the gap a bit to see whats best for your setup, but thats a good start.
