[Have been annoyed lately at a strange odor coming in with the fan on so I went to check under the hood after starting the motor to see if there were any signs of rodents or something getting cozy in there and maybe causing the smell.]
Didn’t find anything other than the fact that I can feel a strong air blowing upwards from the power steering pump/alternator area behind SC snout. Literally holding my hand a couple of inches above the alternator I could feel as if there were a fan turned on facing upwards. For why?

I know after getting LIM/SC and valve cover gaskets done I could hear what sounds like a vacuum leak but all lines have been checked and replaced as needed and the only explanation could be is after the intake being super cleaned I can just hear the intake more than normal because of the lack of carbon buildup.

Still not sure why there should be such a strong, cold wind back there. I figured if there’s an exhaust leak from the manifold on that side, it would be louder and affect performance and I honestly haven’t felt either symptom.

did ya check/replace the cabin filter?

as for the air blowing, ya sure it isnt comeing from the alt? they typically have some sort of fan blade on them

It honestly does feel as though it’s coming directly from the alternator which is why I found it odd.
I recently replaced cabin air filter, last month I’d say.
