Oh okay, which one gets left open? All the vacuum lines are hooked up
the you never touched, stays open, theres two on the right side, leave that one open. its got a funky clip on it too, there used to be a foam cap over it, its long gone and not a issue.
Okay awesome, thank you so much for your help on this, I'll go back up there and hope for no codes
I made sure it was plugged in, hopefully it passes inspection
your gonna need to put some mile son it so all systems show ready. you can see this in the t app or a hand held scanner, looking for "im readyness" once all them show ready, your clear to go to inspection.
Okay awesome, well I went and noticed my check engine light doesn't come on at all. Could that be the 1671 code?
P1671 - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat yeah that means the cel light is not working you fill fail inspection for that one.
Dangit, lol looks like I got another job today
Well I just took it off and I have no security or check engine light even installed
when you turn the key to run all the dummy lights should come on. some times its the bulb went dead, a cluster swap would be easy enough if your not a soldering guy.
So their was no bulbs at all, to install a new bulb would I need a new cluster?
Alright I'll go check out the junkyard in a little bit and get one. Thank you for your help on this journey lol
I hope so also, I'll be going to tomorrow so looks like I'll be doing the water deflector now instead
The CEL on a 98 is an LED? I know the one on my 00 GT died and it was just a regular replaceable bulb.
Probably. I don't remember for sure and it's far too cold to go pull it again. I want to say it was smaller than the normal 194's though.
Edit- here's a post that may help--> My service engine soon bulb is burned out?
