Man. I've always wanted a fiero! Can't wait to see a thread on that!

And yup. My grandfather was a mechanic, but he died before I was around so I'm with you there! My dad's into carpentry, which is cool, but no so useful on cars. Haha

my dad was no help to me working on cars. i recall the day he came home and i had the engine pulled from his old work truck, all he said was that had best run and drive again as he walked by.

for real tho, we all got it easy today. i had to go to the library and take out chilton manuals. theres was no internet or forums or google to ask lol

you got the intake tube off, and the screen removed from the tb? then hold open the throttle and if you got a spray tube stick that in past the maf sensor and spray for a few seconds, then hurry and crank it.

Is this a naturally aspirated motor or supercharged?

I liked to pull the vacuum line off under the supercharger snout and spray straight into the intake manifold. I tend to like carb clean or brake cleaner over starter fluid because it's a bit gentler on stuff. It does take a couple good sprays thought.

Did you get a chance to check for spark? I'm thinking you did.. but can't look back at the moment to confirm it. I'm still thinking this might be the connector under the coil packs since you mentioned changing some of that stuff. Had a car I did a swap on with the owner. Between us.. we had the ICM connector sitting in place and hadn't snugged down the bolt that holds it on. Car ran great.. we went down the road for a test drive and the engine came and went nearly stalling. Then it stalled and we coasted it into a parking spot. As the tow truck was pulling in we noticed the connector, tightened it and that's all it was. Simple little thing left us stranded with a perfectly willing to run motor that couldn't.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

time to maybe pop the old injectors back in. or test the fuel pressure with a gauge, you need over 43 psi.

that would be a bad fuel pump causing the low pressure, would explain why it was cranking 10 times before it fired up the before vid you posted.

try beating on the bottom of the gas tank, see if the pressure goes up. if it does and then fires right up, you know the pump is bad. beating on the tank can shock it back to life. but its a temp fix at best.

Oh okay well I think it took so many cranks bc scrappy battery and it was like -2°f out lol but it probably needs a new fuel pump too

Well, it's a start! (no pun intended). Go ahead and rent or buy that fuel pressure tester and see what the pressure is. If it's just low and below 43, test the fuel pump for voltage and ground at the pump connector, if no pressure, then still test the connector for voltage. That way you can be sure you're actually replacing the issue and not parts swapping for no reason. There's a fuel pump resistor that can cause these symptoms. Just follow the steps

FWIW I have started and run on 24psi. Once you dip below you are going flame out. I was also once in a Series 1 3800 that when the guy used throttle it sputtered.... Probably because he was getting down to 8psi no joke. He's stuffing the pedal to the floor and I'm yelling above it saying.....stop we are going to flame out!
