recently bought a 2001 regal gs. I figured since the cars are so similar I might could get some help here.

Today I fixed the cluster issue where the digital odometer and boost gauge wasn't working. I wired in the resistors and now everything works but my boost gauge is showing 0.0. I've checked that the boost control actuator isn't stuck, and there are no vacuum leaks. Any ideas?

map sensor is what its reading for boost. might be bad, or its got a vac leak.

it makes no boost till you get into the gas. round town next to nothing.

Wouldn't it trip a code if it was a bad map sensor? I've checked vacuum lines. Found and fixed all leaks.

So far I've only driven this car down my driveway and back but I would think it would have moved from 0.0. I've also rev'd it up in park with no change.

wont make boost in park, need to have a load on the engine. chances are things are just fine. gonna have to get on it to see the gauge move.

Mine made boost at idle just fine.

Usually it's turbo cars that won't make jack for boost at idle or revving without load.

    Fast forward to about 1:10~.

Does your car have a factory gauge?

    Newp. Not a Regal.

Nor would I ever try to use a factory WBody gauge for anything. They're all garbage.

Have you actually scanned via something live feed it to make sure there aren't any leaks? If it's reading fuel trims @ 16.4 then you've still got a leak which could be causing the issue. However it might not just be vacuum lines. Could be a bad MAP like Scotty said; or LIM gaskets that need replaced along with the EGR accordion gold tubing could also be an issue. Lots of possibilities.
