So I am looking around for parts list and pics of SC engines as I need to get idea of parts I need. I know about balancer and tensioner.
But placement and such for idlers, or other parts to install blower. I picked up one of the intakes modded to allow to work on NA engine with out heads. Got good deal on it and fuel rails reasonable so then I went looking for SC, found them online to $88 shipped! Gen V no less!
Found new SC balancer online reasonable.
I have DHP tuner also. My plans were to do basic 04 GTP SPECS then dial back from their.
So pics, recommendations, tip, tricks all appreciated.

I keep hearing about this marvelous "intake" that allows you to use the NA heads. I have wish to receive one of these intakes as well.

    Good luck with build!

you'll never run 04 specs on a top swap. run what ever your year car is's gtp timing, maybe knock it down one or 2 at wot. cause a gen 5 is better then a gen 3. gen 3 top swaps tend to work well with one degree removed.

you can run a ssm90 pulley and one belt, but thats a weak looking wrap on the sc.

so you'll need the sc idler thats to the right of the balancer, its 3 bolts, but the pulley has to come off first, that could be a 15 mm or a t50 torx holding it on.

then you need the coil/dog bone bracket and the tensioner. and the studs that hold them on, dont forget or loose the nut for the tensioner, its a one off nut. aka its special. you'll need a 13 mm 12 point, or thin wall deep socket to remove this nut.

you also need a l67 map sensor and its pig tail. then cut off the na one and solder on the new one. and while your at it, get some new vac T"s and new vac line.

and you are best to get headers on it. or at min plog and 3 inch dp

I wouldn't NOT do headers on a high compression setup.

Let that thing breathe. If you can afford it, do a cam or rockers/valvetrain, too. It'll help where that 3800 lacks. Above mid-range performance.

If you plan on using that intake, I think the only thing you need in addition is the ssm90 pulley for the blower.

The part I was lacking info on was coil/dog bone bracket and such looks like some stuff still available. After I dig up all numbers and stuff I'll post back up a list and where its available. The part I was stumped was coil bracket/dog bone mount.
What sucks is I have worked on these cars before but never paid attention, now I need to dig this stuff up and I'm slow going at sourcing parts. Work sucks, got into resealing Caddy oil pan/and dang oil manifold plate is the issue AND two main/bolts snapped. Northstars suck balls.

    This intake, and rails. http://www.thechicagogarage.com/foru...ing-rails.html
Still a genV intake. Still takes same blower, just scrounging rest of parts.
