Are AL 605's gonna be too cold? .55 or .60 gap?
|
605s are good if you hammer the throttle a lot or live in a hot area. Just whatever stock gap is
Why not run iridiums for stock? Last way longer.
Easier to spark knock even stock with iridiums
What mods?
If it's got intake/exhaust even 104's wouldn't be a bad choice.
I ran AL103R's over 20k. They were a nice golden brown. Big misconception in this community is that colder plugs don't last a long time. While they are recommended to be changed every 20-30k, there isn't much of an issue with running them longer.
On a stock motor or even mildly modded there's zero reason to go colder than 605
There isn't any real reason to not do it; either.
It's a 3800.
It doesn't give a sh1t.
Gas mileage for one. Lol. If you're buying plugs might as well buy the rights ones lol
If you notice gas mileage difference by putting colder plugs in, then I don't know what to tell you. I never noticed a damn difference. And if you're talking 1-2 MPG; you can make that up by driving style; easily.
And you know what happens when you run richer? You lose mpg
Or just not put the wrong plugs in in the first place and not have to make up for anything with driving style?
