Motor mounts are all new, so are lower control arms, struts, strut mounts, swaybar and endlinks. I'm wondering if maybe its a wheel bearing since I know they are a common problem and the originals are still on the car which now has 110k miles but I don't get any vibrations at highway speed or under light acceleration like I'm used to from a bad wheel bearing. Info get some vibrations when semi heavy braking though

Wheel bearing wouldn't clunk I dont think. I only know of them hummimg while crusing on the highway. If it was clunking you got bigger problems. The axle cv joint will make popping noises when you steer all the way to one side and under acceleration. If its coming from a particular side thats what axle is done. My passenger side axle is on its way out. I got those sysmptoms, and ive replaced all the front end suspension minus the struts. Including my wheel bearings amd still have the noise. My abs/ speed sensor got ripped out so I replaced all 4 while I was at it.

Ya I figured it probably would be the axle. Now that I think about it. It probably does come from the passenger side. The only question is which brand is best and would it be beneficial to upgrade to the "hd" diff and axle while I'm at it. Hmm

When I eventually change out the axle. Im going the do the hd swap. Might as well since the axles going to be out. Mighy go the junkyard and out a transmission and rebuild that. Id just get some axles off rock auto unless your going to be running slicks. Then maybe do the upgraded axles for that. My cars still a DD and I just want more power mainly for over taking o the highway/ mountain driving. And of course the occasional race. Who wouldnt take advantage of a top swapped Buick Lacrosse. Everyone probaly thinks im just a punk kid with exhaust lol

Check the rack mounts as well. If they are shot or loose you can get noise from it. I've had good luck with Napa Gold axles as a replacement.

HD Diff can shred just as easy as the non-HD diff.

No one wheel wonders, don't do the whole "clean the tires off before a 1/4 mile pass by smashing the gas after the water box"...it's the sudden shock that'll kill that thing along with the input shafts.

I was able to take out my coolant overflow and use that hose to patch the cracked fuel hose. Although I checked it when I got home and it still has a little leak. I think I'm deffinately going to be investing in the braided ss lines. That nylon just doesn't like bending and the gt hoses have to bend a shiz ton to fit the l67 rail and worse the modified l67 rail.

I know what you mean normally I always have music playing but since the install I've been completely quite making sure I don't sound or smell things. Luckily my senses paid off or else theres a good chance I'd be out of a car right now. I don't even have full coverage insurance so I would really be f*cked I need to see how much extra it would be to get that.

Whats even stupider is there is a guy local to me that is scraping his grand prix with an sd hood and he'd sell it to me for 100$ but all my money is on frickin PayPal and it takes a week to transfer it. I'm also unsure if that hood works with the intercooler cause my stock hood has like 1/4" clearance at best

He won't I already asked but I told him I had 50$ cash and he said come get it. So dam man now I just need to figure out how to transport it. From brief research it doesnt look like it will just bolt on clearance wise with the intercooler. I might need to get spacers for the hood latch or worse case cradle spacers

take your hood off, drive to his house with no hood on the car. bolt on the new hood on site. dont see why the guy would not help you install it, takes 10 minutes.

Ya I know but I'm worried if it will fit. If I can't latch the hood closed I cant really drive down the highway doing 70 unless I go super crazy with zip ties lol

Like I said my stock hood has practically no clearance and I would assume because of the scoops the sd hood won't fit directly on without some motifications

Take your current hood. Cut a hole in the top and some stuff to lift the suoercharger through the hood. Then put a scoop over just to cover it or leave it outside. All you need a a sawzel or a grinder. Bam performance upgrade and looks 😂
