Just home and checked...
Comp Cams
7936
7.00
So, they're for Stock Rockers with Decked Heads...
Sorry
I'd go with Intense PushRods... .83 wall as compared to .80 CompCams and ?ZZP's...
just sayin ; )
Go with the $2 variety... You'll be fine!
What do ya want me to tell ya? Lmao
Nothing I've already decided to go with zzp. They are the cheapest, still a fair amount stronger then stock and its not like I'm running 150# springs so I think I'll be fine.

Got my 3.2 in the mail yesterday and decided id slap it on just to get a feel of where i was at and after dropping 2* timing I'm running zero kr. Which I'm pretty amazed by. It looks like I'll be wanting a 3.0 when the cam goes in

Does anyone know what the max lift is you can go on stock heads with Manley retainers? I've spent hours searching but only found a crap ton of conflicting answers

From what I've seen, there are 2 different types of Manley retainers. So it depends on which you have. Are they stock or lsx style?
They are the intense Manley ones. I believe there website says they add .45 clearance over stock

Believe the number using stock compliments is .515 lift... And even though it may be advertised to add .45, you don't, you can go possibly .35 if you use the correct stuff. So .550(+/-)
Whats your plan? Do you know what lift, what head gaskets, springs, retainers, seals, you're using? Make a plan, then go with it, am I off here thinking you're all over the place? When you were asking about springs, did you or did you not have a plan for your cam/lift? If so, you should then know what you need.
I got everything figured out I was just thinking if I wanted to do some 1.65 roller rockers if I would be able to and 1.65 would put my max lift at .5402. So I was just wondering if that was possible. I guess the other question would be do stock heads even flow good enough that it would make a difference betlside the roller part.

Give them a quick port, exhaust side needs it bad, intake isnt horrible.
How easy is it to mess up the cam bearings? My dad is worried that with the limited space were going to have since we plan to leave the motor in the car, that "it will be difficult to install it without damaging the soft bearings" or is it one of those things that as long as your gentle and not a complete moron you'll be fine?

get assembly lube and lube that bump stick up good. slow and gentle. your going to hear some clicking and clunking as it goes in. its how it goes.
Ok thanks guys. I've been all over the place second guessing my choice and if I should just sell all my cam stuff and go intercooler instead, it just seems like a cam would produce more power and I would really love a little lope but I wouldn't have to worry about destroying my engine installing an intercooler haha.

intercoolers can leak fluid, vac leaks etc. cam just bumps and goes:)
