Looking for help with this upgrade. I need to find a TB for the S/C and understand that i need a adaptor plate. but i don't have a tuner. what TB can i use that will not limit the flow on the gen v and not need tuning. or is this even a possiblity. can the TAC be used to remedy this or is it just a POS.
N* and LS1 are easy enough to find, but the tuning might be a problem. would really like a 78mm billet but not very affordable right now. but would simplify the install greatly. any help would be great cause i'm itching get this thing done for spring, can't wait for the white crap to go away.

    TIA

do you have a seriesIII or seriesII? if you have a seriesIII then im not sure because you have a drive by wire throttle body then. if you have a seriesII then you can get whatever you want.

anything other than stock you are probably going to need a tune, so im not sure if this is the step you want to take at this point.

what mods do you have done? what do you want out of the car?

The N* adapter plates are plentiful, and I believe the stock TB adapters are too. Nobody makes them for the LS1, so you may be out of luck there. Very few of us are running the LS1 on the GenV.

Either way you look at it though, you'll want a good tweak to reap the benefits of the new blower.

car is stock 2000 gtp Daytona, with VS cam and Gen V. I need to decide what route to take so i can finish it for spring. I know i'll need an adapter no matter what. Is it all that bad to run the stock unit or will it defeat the entire reason for the Gen V. I see some N* throttle bodys have a plastic tube with a MAF in it, are these any use or not even worth the effort?

    TIA

I would not recomend a N*. All i hear is how horrible the pedal feel is. I'm sure you could use the adapter plate along with the stock TB and see no poor results out of the setup with the combo you have.

Seems like a waste to put the stock TB back on, and if i have to get a plate anyway why not get a TB that works best with the gen v. Still trying to find a tuner here in London ontario. anyone local on here?
