    Hey guys,

Car is an 05 Comp G w/180k miles

The front of the car leaves oil drips on the garage pavement where I park. I took a couple photos.

Is this an oil cooler line that's leaking?

Also there's seems to be yellow rusty moisture inside the oil filler tube and under the cap. Should I be concerned?

Engine runs great has power and idles smooth. I've only owned the car for about 6 months and hardly drive it during the week and about an hour on the weekends.

    Anyways Thanks for the help..

    -Todd

We don't have an oil cooler, just a transmission cooler. Looks like that line has been leaking for a long long time and now is leaving spots. Figure out which one it is and replace or just do both as they both end up leaking someday.

Moisture under the oil cap is normal, if you do short trips or never really get the oil hot hot it will trap some the moisture at the highest point. Condensation builds up in the motor everytime you shut it down. I just call it cheese because it's just oil that mixes with the water and sticks there. Clean it up and carry on.

id start with 2 cans of de greaser, clean that mess up, then find the leak, repair as needed. cant tell when its so mucked up what the issue is for sure, but id put money on a trans line where the rubber meets the hard line.

check the trans fluid level, if its low. then you know.

Alright Thanks guys for the suggestions. I'm going to degrease the area well and check the trans fluid. I'll report back most likely tomorrow.

    Thanks again

In pic 2 I see a clean spot at a fitting, left side of pic, next to a wire loom clamp. A consistent leak won't gather grime and dirt like surrounding areas. It kinda "self cleans".
For the record : I am NOT a naked meth-head who shoves rocks up my butt.
