    Hello everybody, I am new to this forum however I've been lurking for some time without an account. I looked around and cant seem to find exactly what I'm looking for. Will 03 headers fit an 04 grand prix? What exactly changed?
    Looking at these currently, because I'm having difficulty finding a pair that are as cheap for an 04. Sorry If I missed a previous explanation.

    97-03 exhaust manifolds are exactly the same as 04-08. Cheap headers will work, but you get what you pay for.

    Nice looking car, I haven't seen many green GPs.

    The entire w-body platform sucks, they're all turds.

    Why do you think we're all still driving them?

    Sure they leak and they don't add power by themselves. They help with flow so you can add power.

    Why you so butt hurt over headers and there leaks?

    I'm confused... I thought headers were Mod #1, without argument... But now I'm reading I don't need them?
    Can I just drop to a 3.4 pulley without headers?

    LOL, I wonder the same thing. GTPpower must have had a traumatic experience installing them or something. I can't seem to locate it now but I have seen before and after dyno and it shows improvement with flow testing, especially with supporting mods.
    To answer the original question. They will fit but like said above, you get what you pay for. The Ebay headers can and probably will require some modifications for fitment issues and sealing.

    Hmm now I'm torn on whether I should or shouldn't do this. Iwas going to use these headers, redo the exhaust with 3 inch pipe, and possibly flow master super 10 mufflers just so see how bad (or possibly good, but less than likely) it would sound. Should I just leave it all stock and save the money and letdown?

    Being that you have the same exact car as me, would you help me out with something that bugs me? My manifolds when I pop the hood after driving it run about 900 degrees and sometimes glow at night, does yours do this? I feel as if that's running too hot and I don't want to cause any more issues than I've had Vince buying it. (Blown head gaskets and tranny at 107k, now I'm at 110k) they also run Around 400 idling after 3 minutes. If you have one of those handheld thermometers and could check you'd be really awesome. I mean right now you're awesome but you'd be even awesomer.

    Other than GTPower, everyone on here will agree that headers are a MUST!! The real purpose for headers is for increasing flow of combustion gases through the exhaust. They allow the engine to breath better. If you're doing this merely for aesthetic purposes, ie. exhaust sound.... I don't know if it is worth the trouble.

    The hot manifolds might be a symptom of a nearly clogged CAT.

    Thought that was it but I changed the cat last week and still have the same symptoms. I don't know if I'm making it up in my head or if there's actually even a problem. I know exhausts get hot obviously but I just didn't expect it to glow when I popped the hood one night after pushing it rather hard. I'll think of pacesetter headers because I read they're a little better, and I'm mostly looking to do it for the reason you said, not necessarily sound.

    Not any experience other than we've both been around for awhile and we can tell you unless you're dropping a grand on 3800 headers, they're gonna have issues.

    Now I had Pacesetters...and welded them all up...had solid mounts all around with the flex totally removed and they were great. The crossover, rear header, and downpipe were all once piece as well.

    They do show gains; however until you dive into the valvetrain, a PLOG/DP or just a downpipe will suffice. Hell I had a 3.3" with a GenV on a stock valvetrain car that just had injectors and E85 in it. Ran like a raped ape.

    The exhaust doesn't need to be 3". The factory catback flows fine up north of 300~WHP, easy. That's cam/intercooler territory.

    Glowing manifolds; if the converter has been replaced, sounds like a timing issue. I bet it runs like junk.

    I have these headers on my car and all in all I think they are great as long as you do a couple things. First dont use any of the gaskets it came with I personally used fel pro gaskets for the manifolds and then re used my stock catback gasket. A lot of people say you can reuse your stock manifold gaskets as well. I also had to have a new front o2 bung welded in because they put it in a stupid f*cking place. You can also use copper rtv on all the connections for better sealing. Some people also replace the flex pipe with a double walled one. I did not and have had them about a year with no leaks. I also didn't use copper rtv on the connections.

    OP I have the exact same car as you, even down to the color. I've had speed daddy headers on it for two+ years, no issues. No leaks, no problems getting them on, nothing.

    Don't believe the bs. For $200, IF you're going to mod enough to need them, get them.

    Decide how far you want to take this modding a 12 year old car first. If you're only after a small gain, plog, and DP it. Trying to eventually inter cool it or go cam or rockers, go with headers.
    Comp G. E85, 2.8, Headers, Tune, Intake, S1X, 105# springs, 60 # injectors, 255 walbro,etc.
