Alright. So this is going to be a long one, but NOBODY has been able to help me out.

Every few weeks or so, my car ('02 GTP w/96k) has been doing this thing, where the low oil level light will come on (it's false. oil level is fine.) and then if I'm idling at say 800rpms or so, it'll shoot way up to 1500 or more. Then the light will go off a few seconds later, and it'll go back to normal. It'll do this a few times inside of a couple days, and then be fine for weeks, or even a month. I'm going on 4 months worth of this now. On my way home from my gf's house today, I pulled out at an intersection and all of the lights came on, it bogged down to 200rpms, and stalled. It of course fired right back up. On my way home about 30 minutes ago or so, I was cruising at about 55mph, when the low oil level light came on, and then while my foot was on the gas, it seem to shift itself into neutral (both hands on the wheel) and revved up to 3k. Tranny is fine of course. I've never had an issue.

I've heard all of the following answers from people:
IAC, TPS, MAF, Oil level sensor, crankshaft pos, camshaft pos, dirty tb, bad grounds, bad ecm, and fuel pump/fuel filter.

I've never posted on the forums, because I'm scared of looking like an idiot, but I really need help. I have a spare L67 laying around also. So I can swap sensors fairly easily to diagnose.

Thank you all for reading, and potentially responding. I really appreciate it.

I scan fairly frequently with Torque Pro. Maybe once a week? Only got one code a few months back, and it was something about the back end of the catalytic converter not getting enough voltage.

you mean a rear o2 code? the cat has no voltage. a working rear o2 is needed in your car.

Yeah. Couldn't remember. But that's it. I just cleared it and it never came up again.

well your research is all on par up there, start checking and cleaning this up. tps and or the maf could be the issue.

that spare l67 the same year? the maf wont be the same if its not 01-03.

I tried unplugging the maf. No difference at idle. Just did it again. And the spare l67 is sadly an '00 out of an SSEi

you can double check, see if the # on the top of the maf is the same, if it is, your golden there.

theres always bad grounds, dirty terminals and such. if you see any bare wire at the cable ends the cable could be bad too. main ground is on the tranny bell housing bolt. theres 2 other grounds there, make sure they are all ok. no bare wire to be found.

Could be a clogged cat, engine starts to choke because it can't get enough exhaust out.

Or could be a bad electrical wire. I had a chafed wire for the fans and it would ark and my fans wouldn't come making me over hear and other times stall randomly and wouldn't start for 20 mins. Didn't find the wire until I did a top swap and swapped in a gtp harness. Looking at the old harness I happened to fine chafed wires where the harness goes in above the radiator.
