I thought I would be able to find this using search, but I can't find the search function on here anymore, guess it was left out with an upgrade. Which MAF should I get for about 400 whp (hopefully)? Of what I can find I see MAF's used from LS6 and LQ4 engines. I tried to find years of vehicles using these MAF's and found 2000 Silverado 2500 (LQ4), 2004 Corvette (LS6) and the 2000 Cadillac Deville (Northstar) all have the same MAF part # so guess they're actually the same even though I see some people say to get an LQ4 MAF and others say to get a LS6 MAF. I have a used MAF from a 2000 Deville I picked up with my Northstar throttlebody so I assume I can just use it? So just use a MAF from one of these vehicles and then does it matter which vehicle I should get a MAF table from?

Use the maf table for the vehicle you use the maf from.

Search BTW is top and dead center of the screen. Click on the magnifying glass.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

So the MAF is different for LQ4 and LS6 even though same part #? Wow, that search is blended in with the black on black lol. Never would of found it.

you need to load the Basic Northstar/Lq4/LS6 maf table to get the car running and then really dial in the fueling with Maf tuning

    It may still require tweaking.

Intake can cause a swing by a couple percent pretty easily.

So the MAF's are different for LQ4 and LS6 then? Is there an advantage to using the MAF and MAF tables from an LQ4 vs Ls6 or other engine?

They are the same sensor with different maf transfer functions in the pcm.

The intake you place before it will change its calibration.

Using one of those tables is just to get you started.

So it doesn't matter which MAF or MAF table I use of the 3 then? Sounds like I can use the MAF I have from the 2000 Deville since it's the same part # and just use the LQ4 or LS6 MAF table with it and there wouldn't be any advantage over the other MAF's or MAF tables. With the comparisons I've seen, it sounded like there were differences between the MAF even though they have the same part #. Thanks for the clarification.

Start out with a LS6 table, it will get you close enough to start, drive, and collect some data. then do a MAF tune
