    They seem like such a great deal, stainless polished headers and for just over $300 But are they not worth it? Do they fit the car at all? I just hate to spend $600-800 for a set of SLP or Pacesetter headers if these will work just as good.

    Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Here is a link to the headers:

    we just put a set on this week, fit great, great quality, great welds, my only advice would be have the rear welded to avoid leaks, and the crossover will need to be cut and rewelded to line up right.

    they dont install themselves by any means, but an awsome buy and a great product for the money. i would recommend them.

    I've had them on since before Christmas. They work pretty well. As mentioned, they need to be modified some, unless OBX actually got the messages people have left them and have corrected the crossover orientation. You will also need to cut part of the front manifold flange off so that it fits (they used the same flange on the front and the rear, so the front has the EGR hole too). Get the Y welded to avoid leaks. And you will probably have to deal with the 3-bolt flange between the Y and the flex as it will probably hit the bottom of your car (at least mine does). I'm looking into getting the flanges cut off and replaced with a V-band flange/clamp set.

    Otherwise the SS AutoChrome (aka X-S Power) ones which are the SLP knockoffs are recommended as well and cost the same.

    They dont sound that great if you have to modify them just to get them to fit.
    Yes they are cheap and i see why.
    When i got my togs there was no fitment issue. Everything was the way it was suppose to be. But also looking at double the price

    SSAC = slip fits.

    S&S = donut gasket and flange

    SSAC = 3 piece headers

    S&S = 2 piece headers

    SSAC = stainless?

    S&S = steel w/a coating if you get it

    i love my S&S. they were cake to install and seal, unlike the used set of TOGs that i had on the car previously that i never got to seal. they say they have smaller primaries and are for more of a lightly modded car, but i havent seen them as any type of restriction in my setup yet. i bet they are good for whatever you can throw at them since you can barely push 400 whp on a max build blower setup.

    im def leaning toward the S&S headers! i wont be able to buy them coated but i might paint them or wrap them im not sure what would be better!!

    if i were to do it over instead of getting the ceramic coating i would have just gotten them regular and wrapped them nicely. they probably would have performed better with the wrap too.

    ya the header wrap is not to much money either. ive just never wraped anything before, do you think it would be fairly easy to wrap them nicely myself?

    yep. just take your time and seal them right. a lot of people have different ways of doing it. the most common is DEI (?) header spray, kinda like paint. i have also heard to people shmearing RTV all over it.

    i guess that is something youll have to figure out on your own because i have never wrapped a set of headers before.

    yep just take your time, no big deal and make sure you have clamps on hand to hold it in place.

    Ya I wish I wasn't lazy or else I would have definitely wrapped mine, the ceramic coating on my headers isn't in the greatest shape anyway lol.
