Daughter is picking up a 03 GTP. It has 200k and I was going to do some prevent stuff no mods no maintenance history seems to run well. And I have had 2 other GP's in the fleet. 00 NA and an 07 SC

    Here is my thinking

    Change oil and filter
    New fuel filter
    New air filter
    New cabin air filter
Flush and fill radiator check upper and lower hose and replace plastic elbows with metal elbows. ( green coolant )
New spark plugs (should I stick with iridium or go w copper, I like the long life.)
Change transmission fluid and filter (pan drop and clean add an extra magnet)
    Change supercharger oil

Any thought on stuff to add or delete from list.

Good start.. I'd add a shift kit to the list, check that the lim has been done too. Plus wires are also cheap enough unless the ones on it look rather new,
Squirrels are my engine. I need a Ford Regal

A transgo shift kit. The best place for that is ebay. I got mine for $35. Then get plug wires as well like previously stated. Other than that the list looks good.

What kit do I order? Will the 03 GTP have the HD tranny?

^^^^ thanks for the link. I might just try that. Tough to find any complaints in any of the reviews and seems straight forward to install

Also, the SC oil may need to be changed.

That is always a good idea. Mine is new to me and I'm about to do mine just because I have no idea when it was done last and neither did the past owner.. Haha

Changed the SC oil last night. Still hits you every time how bad that stuff smells coming out of there. Was brownish not low at all. Not sure if it was the first time in 199 K or not but I feel better that it's done.

Also cleaned her up good. Parts should arrive this weekend to start on the list.

Cleaned and conditioned the leather seats. Not sure that was ever done. Might have to do that multiple times to soften up the pass and back seat. Any product recommendations. I used some meguiers stuff.

There's a leather product called voodoo by surf city that helped mine a lot. I found it at Wal-Mart

Picked up the voodoo and that and the meguiers have softened the seats looks like multiple applications may be in order. Got most of the list done. Added the shift kit and seems to have quickened the shifts. Still have to do an axle or 2 and hubs. Have a vibration on acceleration and both shafts move a little so starting w the driver side. Both hubs move a little. Again the driver side more so starting there.

Also have an appt for the dealer to do the valve cover gasket recall next week. They will only do the front. And wanted 400 bucks to do the rear. Who only does 1 gasket? Guess I will do the rear later if I want to tackle that.

It might be better just to do all the gaskets at one time yourself.. That's what my plans are any way

I don't really like going to dealerships for recalls because they always half-a** is and mess up more things than they fix.

If I got paid $400 to do valve cover gaskets, I'd be rich.
