I've never tried pricing out all the pieces individually, but ZZP offers a complete kit.

You could have more than likley saved you're self over 100 dollars if you shoped at rock auto and that is with head gaskets.

ZZP as well as all the other vendors usually charge double for gaskets and stuff like that then you're local parts store.

Intense for exapmle.... 9.99 for the upper coolant elbow....9.99 for the lower one...in the help section at oreilly's you can get them both for 3.99

All of our vendors are con artists when it comes to things like that...There just looking to make a buck..and don't care about anything else.

I think I have found only one gasket that zzp and rockauto that were the same price. The rest of them rockauto was at least 1.00 cheaper...and some were up to 5.00 cheaper.

Sounds like a bad attitude to have. I mean, they're a business. A little markup on products is how they keep doing what they're doing. Businesses that give things away at cost don't get very far...

But is the total plus shipping at rock auto less than at ZZP? ZZP discounts the package as a whole while rock auto will not.

(I'm still buying all my gaskets and stuff from ZZP because they give a military discount )

Seriously. Price them before you buy from ZZP I'm sure you will come out way ahead when buyiong from rock auto.even with the MD. ZZp's average shipping prices are 10 dollars on up for me.Even for the smallest thing. Rock auto has never been over 7.00 for multiple things.

ZZP and ALL of the other vendors add money ON TOP of the suggested retail value. Everyone else sells them for 2-3 bucks cheaper and the markup for them is 20-30% over COST (oreilly's ect ect.)

If oreilly's can make a profit on a part that costs 3.99 then is intense doing selling them for 20.00??? While oreillys is making 20-30% over cost intense is making what? 130% over cost.

Sorry, I don't like getting charged 3 dollars or 15 dollars over something I can get local.

Rockauto is cheaper than ALMOST everyone. Local or not local. And they have waaaay more buisness than any vendor we have.

Thats the way buisness should be done. Don't charge an arm and a leg for something that does not cost that much and you will get more buisness, more customers and a better reputation.

AND you will make MORE money because of it.

For the IAC they wanted $9.73, which makes the whole thing more expensive than I can get locally. Depends on where you live.

While I don't know what Intense is doing, you can get both from ZZP for 9.99 (not each, total). Seems reasonable to me, and plus the discount, plus no shipping since I'm buying other stuff, and plus not having to run to a store for me it is acceptable. Not to mention a lot of the stuff ZZP sells is genuine GM parts still in their bags. The one at O'reilly is not a GM part.

I guess I don't mind supporting our vendors. It's hard enough in a tough economic time supporting a small community like ours.

And I do see where you're coming from. It's just that, to me, a few bucks can be considered an investment in us keeping our aftermarket support. I won't pay for anything ridiculous, but a few bucks here and there I don't see the harm. However, I do see the good.

I haven't purchased or used these, but the prices at PartsDinosaur.com seem quite a bit less than the local parts suppliers.

I almost bought the ZZP kit... but, ended up adding all the gaskets to my cart individually... and it was cheaper. :/
