I know this has been asked a thousand times, but I'm a noob, so please bare with me. First of all, I'm a huge fan of GTP's and have already gone through 2, and am on number 3 now. This car is a true project. I bought it on the side of the road for $250, and have dived into it wanting to step up my performance this time. I'm not real savy on the tuners, and to be honest, am a little intimidated by them, so I'm probably just going to get a ZZP 1.0. Ok, so I was lucky to get my hands on an M90 supercharger, port and polished, and am looking to add around it to get a respectful tune. Obviously, I'm going to take out the exhaust bend, and probably got 2.5" all the way back to some Magnaflows, take away the air box and add a cone to the MAF, and easy stuff like that. My question is, would it be beneficial to change my injectors and MAF out with the setup I mentioned (keeping in mind I'm going with the ZZP 1.0). I'm not trying to break the bank, nor beat every car on the road, but I do want a respectable car, and am willing to spend what I need to. Thanks in advance.

your adding no mods, headers are the first mod, then a tune and pulley drop to a 3.4, your basic hop up for a gtp.

you dont need a maf or injectors till you able to drop to a 3.1 pulley. and that means more mods.

Like Scotty said, what you are planning to do will not increase the performance or change anything in anyway to even require a tune.
You basically have 2 routes to go.
    1. Headers, pulley drop, and tune. Mod some more drop pulleys again, retune bla bla bla....
    2. Turbo < this is the better option in my opinion. Even a small turbo will wipe the floor with a fully modded M90 car.

Great response. Thanks. Headers is next on the list then. What do you say about the PCM though? Should I get a pre-tuned PCM, since I don't plan on buying a tuner?

Factory cat-back will support 300+ whp, you might make 230ish when you are all said and done. No need to upgrade there.

canned tunes are what they are, its the best you can do if your not gonna buy a tuner. DHP is 250 new. and you can sell it for pretty much the same amount later on if you feel the need to unload it.

The exhaust on the car is garbage, holes in piping and mufflers, so I'll definitely be changing out exhaust immediately after the headers.

its all the same really, you need to weld on your own hangers with that kit.

I think that was the only difference between the 97-03 and the 04+ was where the hangers were.

No problem, I'll just mount them up with 200 mph and drive it up the street to get the hangers installed.

I'm looking at that exhaust system and noticed there is an option with and without the resonator. Is the exhaust too loud to handle without the resonator, or does it affect back pressure or anything? And if a resonator is recommended, is there a certain model or just a generic resonator?

you need a res, or a glass pack will work as well, run a long one like 30 inches.
