    Ok I have a98 gtp 2001 Bonneville motor. I have a 3.4 pulley, power log,3"catless dp, NGK TR6 gapped @.50,cai reptiles tune, car ran prefect before I installed #90 springs modified retainers and zzp1.9 rockers. I dive it daily, no check engine lights no misfire coming up on torque app, 3*kr new plug wires..car will idol fine run, give it lil gas about 1/3 to 1/2 throttle it will kinda chug n poo kinda sounds like backfire through intake like some one using an empty 5 gallon bucket as a drum kinda what this popping chugging noise is if I floor it will pop n chug n get through it then it halls ass new rocker bolts torqued accordingly Also. If I'm driving with cruise on going up hill it will do it a lil bit also some times it may not do it at all I dive 75 miles a day only code I get is for evap system please help

    moneys on crossed plug wires, double check em.

    If they were crossed wires then how could it do it then not do it

    you can cross wires and it will run pretty damn good, then wont when you gas it. it happens a lot, hell ive done it myself.


    any time you got popping out the intake, its ignition related. and im sure you took the plug wires off when you did springs and rockers.

    or your wires are bad. but popping out the intake is a crossed wire most of the time.

    what plugs you install? plats are no good.

    Just checked everything is right, I use wire plug seperators nothing is crossed or zipped tied too anything metal..I do real I recall when doing the install taking icm and bracket off and one if the bolts on the coil pack hit the positive battery terminal and made small spark but I still don't have misfire or check engine light in Scanlon l scanning but nothing showing

    So I after switching the coil pack it got worse allot worse when attempting wot...progress?? Icm??

    Take the ICM off and go to Autozone, they can test it. Make sure the guy does it like 3 times to be sure.

    No you'll have to take it off the car. You could drive the car there take it off in the parking lot then put it back on when done testing.

    I have one that tested good for sale if you need one. Its an OEM one no crap house brands.
