This 3.8 I bought for the 92 gtp I have that needed a motor was in bad shape. Left head gasket was destroyed and about half a gallon of dexcool was in the cylinder on that side.

Fixed it up, head back on and bolted.

The right side is my issue, there was nothing wrong with it but changed the head gasket anyway.

Now here's my issur, can not get any of the four head bolts that are inside the head to screw in, at all, the outside ones are fine, but can't do those just yet.

They hit the hole, but that's it won't catch.

I took the head off and they screwed right in, these are brand new head bolts that came with the kit from zzp.

    Anybidras? I'm stumped.

So the old bolts will go right in no problem but the new ones won't ?

Yea and I just figured it out by comparing the old with the new.

Out of 16 head bolts 12 were all the short ones for the outside, had to go buy new ones, and now I have to call zzp.

I'd recommend getting ones of RockAuto. I've never had any issues with them sending the wrong part. ZZP has a lot of unhappy customers from what it seems.

Magnum makes head bolts on RA. Under $10 I think.

Correction, they are just under $20.

Oh, I thought you bought them from ZZP. I'd just let Fel-Pro know and they should get you free ones.

its cheaper to buy elsewhere is the point, zzp robs you. same bolts are 16 bucks on rockauto, and they send you the right ones.....

I got the whole top end swap kit plus timing tensioner, ran me 214. I saved money, the head gasket kit alone for this is 259, and the valve cover gaskets are 55.

That doesn't count thenrtv, alum elbows the alum lim the supercharger gasket and the two coolant orings

Yeah, ZZP is not your friend. Everything they have is WAY overpriced. L36 supercharger kit is over $1700. That's like the entire cars value. Buy off RA or a common parts store.

    I paid 19.99 at zzp.

    Price everything I got

    Valve cover gasket
    Head gasket kit
    Aluminum intake gasket set
    Coolant orings
    Injector orings
    Aluminum coolant elbows
    Rtv
    Timing tensioner

It was cheaper and I got it the same day.

i re gasket-ed my whole engine, heads and all, new bolts, paint, coolant and two oil changes worth of oil , filters and elbows for $220. the kits i got all came with some rtv, and o rings of all sorts.

95% of it i got at advance auto on line, and rock auto for the lower conversion kit, aka 30 bucks. just the pan gasket is 30 bucks or more else where. that kit has a load of gaskets for 30.

head gaskets are less then 50 a side. zzp wanting to rape you some more right there.

Zzp head gaskets were 19.99 a side. Rock autos price is 155. Advanced and oriellys is 255.

It was worth it to me, the point of this post was felpro screwed up, not zzp the box was factory sealed from felpro.

No lose still have to call zzp, I'm sure they will fix it.

Motor b is back together ready to drop in.
