Ok I dont post unless im stumped and cant find any old threads to help. I search like crazy. Anyways, Ive got a 2002 gtp and just installed an s1x with can tune from intense. The car runs and idles like a cam should, but if i get into boost or give it more than 25% throttle it stumbles. Ive checked for vacuum leaks and found none. I havent done a case relearn yet and im wondering if that is causing the issue. im not throwing p1336 or any other codes, car fires right up 2nd turn. If no case-relearn is performed, will the car run poorly? Ive read this is only sometimes the case other times not, says bill p. Any help would be great, ill look at torque app as soon as i can...

    Pulled any spark plugs yet??

I don't think a case learn will do much, you didn't change either sensor.

Fwiw I did not need a case relearn when I did my cam last spring. Like Scotty says I would check all your plug wires, and even your vacuum lines again. Go over a vacuum diagram while you're looking at the engine and make sure everything is right.

i didnt "need" a case learn, but did one any how. car idled better for sure. smoother.

if you installed a new chain its worth doing if you can.

I would check for a P0300 code because the cam can set that code

Alright guys I'll check into plug wires and plugs...I installed new stock chain and dampner. Ill look for misfires with torque app as well, the tune is set to not send the 300code but I'll look to see

you do a header install too by chance? ive seen guys leaving the spark plugs in during the swap a lot. and they end up cracking more then one plug.

My mods are intake, speed daddy headers, s1x cam, ls6 springs, 3.3 pulley. I did the header install last year. Plugs check out. plug wire on on cyl 6 doesnt click on the coil side, but it was like that before and had no problem. read torque app just now, 17hg average vacuum...Is this normal for cam? no misfires on any cylinders. ltft is at 0 at idle. If there was valve train damage wouldnt it idle really bad?

17in of vacuum is normal with a cam.

Just for ****s and giggles, does it stumble with the MAF unplugged?? Worth a shot anyway.

im baffled no one has mentioned this yet.

cam swap im assuming engine was out.

    a. is the coil pack bracket and icm grounded? did you remove any of it during the cam swap.

    b. car has a misfire correct? figure out which cylinder its on then swap the coil with one of the others and see if the misfore moves to a different cylinder. if the misfre moves you have a junk coil pack.

    c. people can argue with me all day fvck these god damn torque apps you have a real issue if its misfiring or whateverese is going on. torque app is a monitoring tool other than that i wouldnt trust them for sh1t.

    d. if them plug wires dont make a good connection like you say they dont on the coil or plug side throw them away and get another set. halfassing sh1t causes problems. if you can afford to mod a car you can afford plug wires.

ps a junk ignition control module aka icm thats under the coil packs can cause a misfire no matter how many coils you throw at it even if its just 1 cylinder......

    .

bring up the T APP you never owned again ,,,go ahead, we are all rather tired of this trash you spew out over stuff you dont have/use/ or even tried out..(AMIRIGHT OR WHAT?)

hell last i checked you cant get your hp tuner to even work...Lay off on the t app.....IT WORKS JUST FINE.

my advice is you buy a t app, so you can see for yourself, till then STFU PLEASE.

you dont know....and he invited people to argue with him.........i have a t app, and a dhp tuner.....the info is 100% the same....but vet dont even own a t app, or a working tuner lol so how is it a pos and not to be used when hes got no proof that it sucks?

same goes for intercooler. true some guys with less then stellar mechanical skills have had vac leaks after installing them,,,thats cause "they " f ed up the install. the intercooler did nothing wrong.

Please post the picture you took of the timing dots lining up on the cam/crank gears.
    Ensure your injectors seated properly.
When you changed the springs, you also changed the retainers?
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
