sounds like the cats clogged up.

flashing cel is bad. means the cat is bad, or you needed a tune up months ago. try not to make it flash, or your engine can blow up. not a joke...

I ordered a new cat. Could it be the plugs too? I just had a recall done and they messed with the plugs

how many miles on it? if it never had a tune get to it. cancel the cat order till you know if a tune up fixes it.

It's doing exactly what was described in the sputtering when accelerating hard. I'm pretty sure it's the cat and if not atleast I know it's been replaced gonna get it tuned too

the plug wires could be busted if the dealership just did that recall or something.

not knowing sucks. why no matter what im told about a used car i just bought it gets a tune up and its fluids changed, time to start your own records now.

tune up is far cheaper then a cat.

My dad is a mechanic at the local tire shop. So all the fluids were changed. How much would a tune up cost because they don't do that at his job

around 60 in parts. tune up is easy. you can get copper core plugs if you like, they run about 2 bucks a plug, but only last 15,000 miles tops.

or iridium plugs, will last 75 to 100,000 easy. those are your only 2 choices on plugs.

wires, store brand plug wires work just fine, cost around 30 to 35 on avg.

I had my copper plugs last much longer, especially if you gap them around .050" and aren't modded.

I got 22k~ out of AL103's which are a very cold plug that shouldn't have lasted more than two~ oil changes.

Plugs/wires/clean the throttle body/swap out of the cat...or just gut it. That's really simple.

Should fix everything. The 04+ cars throttle body's tend to gunk up too...they have a reusable gasket so you only need to unbolt it from the blower and remove the intake tubing, it's simple. 4, 10mm bolts and it's off after you unplug it. Most of the time that makes more of a difference than most of the stuff does, sadly.

thats a new one by me, unless its the theft lock sticking in the steering wheel. do you hear it clicking under the air bag? or does the wheel move free to wiggle and just wont move the wheels?

The steering wheel is almost locked up like you can barely wiggle it back and forth like an inch then you just keep going back and forth for 5-10 seconds and it breaks free

Never heard of steering wheel, but i would buy plugs and wires, change air filter, see how it drives, if it does same thing, then "i" would, get a used cat off a crashed car, or you can bite the bullet and pay $$$ for a new cat.

I actually had a 04 gt that had like 166k on the odometer, the steering wheel never locked, even with keys out of ignition, you could turn the wheel all you wanted either way.

I ordered a new walker one on Amazon for $182 plus gaskets bolts right on. With as many miles as the car has I'm replacing it no matter if it fixes it or not I also went to Napa and got plugs and wires
