I have an 01 gtp with 164,xxx miles and I am concerned about the temperature gauge on the dash. It doesn't get as high as I think it should. It only goes to about 1/4th of the way up.

My main question is the only temp sensor i know of is the one that is in the coolant line on the upper rad hose but is there another one somewhere on the engine block like other cars have??

thats it, under the lim. its the only one.

what you need to do is get a t app or some thing to scan the temp from the pcm. thats your true temp.

Yes, that is what the temp sensor looks like for these cars.

its got two temp sensors in it. one to the dash, one to the pcm. and thats the temp sensor. not sure id get that brand you linked.

be best to get one from a junk yard car really. oem all the way. dont forget thread sealant on the threads or it will leak. and only snug it up. its a tapered thread.

one side to the dash, other to the pcm, the pcm tells the fans when to turn on via temp sensor info.
