Yeah, but watch out I've pulled a few with the coating worn off. I was going to pick one up on thanksgiving 40% off and ended up leaving it since the coating was gone in several spots.

The Gen 5 incorporates a lot of the porting and enhanced airflow into it along with a rotor bearing case that is more in line with Gen 4 and 5 M112's where the bearing case is no longer just a plate, but more of a cup. It also shares the bolt pattern with the M112's. Mind you these are not huge improvements but incremental, the blower alone is not the reason an L32 makes 20 more horsepower. There are other small engine changes as well. It would be really hard to apply a coating to the rotors in the rotor with them installed since you would have to wait for them to dry before rotating them and then painting another section, I am not sure how that would hold up and bind to the next layer. I have removed and reinstalled rotors before and it is not an easy thing to do in the least. It takes a little over 10K pounds of force while supporting the rotor plate to get the rotor loose, and timing them before removal. Then the bearings are not easily removable, they are actually pressed in at the factory and a lip of aluminum rolled over the edge. Removing the bearings requires you mill the aluminum ridge and popping the old ones out and then drilling, tapping and countersinking about 3 small Flathead (not the screwdriver) screws to retain each bearing. Then once you get your nice rotors back in place they have to be timed back to exactly where they were. The shank that goes into the bearing isn't splined fully rather has an extremely small area close to the base of the rotor.
SGT. Marshal was able to find a set of Gen 5 abraidable rotors on a Gen 3 rotorpack from Eaton at one time. I am not sure if they are still available, but they were about 2 times the price of ESM's service iirc.

in hindsight, a gen 5 would have been a lot cheaper. the setup I ran was a ported gen 3, both inlet and outlet were machined, a new gen 3 rotor pack that had the gen 5 coating, a phenolic full size intercooler, XP hot cam, ported L32 heads with 90 lb valve springs, 42 lb injectors and a bigger throttle body and bigger mass air flow sensor. I was able to run a 2.9" pulley, which I thought was pretty decent, because the supercharger was comparable to a gen 5.
in my internet browsing, I did see one or two places that would recoat the rotor pack, but I do not remember who or where it was.
