98gtp keep getting the to lean code and cylinder 6 misfire, in getting spark, new plugs, n wires. Short term fuel trims are 23 26 I believe. Should be -8 correct? Could this be a gasket or injector.the miss fire is kind of a very small stutter at idle only car runs great through out driving...

Short terms trims will always bounce around, there is no set number because they do whatever is needed to bring fuel in or take it away.

But if they are always high, then thats a issue. You will want to look at your long term trims more here, if they are stuck at +16.4, then you have a vacuum leak and that can be the cause of your misfire.

I can't find a vacuum leak. CAR runs fine its when it's idiling, it's idling a lil fast with a very very small stutter to it almost can't tell it is unless you're really listening to it.

I assume you can watch the fuel trims as you run the car right?

I would spray whatever you got be it brake cleaner or throttle body cleaner around while you watch the trims, when they change you can narrow down the spot of the leak.

Wouldnt hurt to remove the fuel rail and inspect the injector o-rings too, thats simple enough and narrows down a possible cause.

On I sprayed carb cleaner around and think it's the egr valve gasket. I got one only a buck not sure if it's it but it was cheap

you could try some rtv. un bolt it rtv it, bolt it back on. dont pull the tube out. the flange part comes free, rtv that, or around the tube in the intake.

the tubes do split, so make sure its not cracked. theres a seam along its whole length.

what brand gasket? garleaks are the worst if thats what you got. felpro seem to be pretty good, used then 2 times now with no leaks at all.
