    I'm trying to test a multi function switch on my 2006 Grand Prix to see if its failed and that's why the cruise control isn't working. Do any of you guys know what the positive and negative wires are going in to the multi function switch? Thanks.

    also search on Highoctaneracing's posts. I think he swapped one for that type of issue and may have diags in there.

    OK I've got a wiring diagram that shows this at the cruise control switch

    CONN ID
    C1=8 BK
    C2=7 GY
    C3=5 BK
    C4=5 BK

    I'm guessing the this is for seeing what the color of each wire is, but what is C1 through C4? I'm guessing it stands for connection 1 through 4, but what are these connections? How do I know which is positive and negative and for which button on the multi function switch? I think I'll post the diagram on here and see if you understand. I should probably mention I am a beginner when it comes to electrical diagrams. Thanks.

    did you make sure the 3 rd brake light bulb/bulbs are not burnt out? if the bulbs are bad the cruise stops working.
