I.m sure this has been discussed many times. For some reason I cant figure it out. I recently changed my cai filter and lo and behold the check engine light lit up. The car runs like crap and stalls out on me at lights. Is there an adjustment or asomething i can do to the throttle body or something? Or do I have to change my maf agaion. Any help wold be appreciated. THAnks

P0440 was the 02 code I was throwing I believe.
I also removed the throttle body screen when I changed my filter. Would that maybe cause my problems ?

No idea, but I would put it back in. If it doesn't make anything better see if the car runs better with the MAF unplugged.

Yes.. it can. Put it back in and likely your issues will go away. If not.. you might have had too much oil on the filter and if it lands on the maf.. the maf is toast
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I used a cheap rich porter model. I guess that's the problem isn't it.

I've had OK luck with the Cardone Reman MAFs, but I believe those are just OEM MAFs that have the solder joints fixed. Might be another good option to look into. I have used 3 and all seemed to work great.

I got 2 used maf sensors yesterday. Both the same results now. P0102 and p0140 now. Do I have to change my o2 sensor now? Could it be a voltage issue maybe ? My battery is a bit old. On my machine at work it says its health is at about 65%

Turns the o2 code was a cur wire Luckily I have a spare one. I got a used maf from a local garage that came off a 03 gs. I popped it in cleared the codes and started it up. All is good after about 200 kms.
