Re: Car Sputters
He's 04+, they have less vacuum lines.
If no vacuum leak is found, then revert to the P0068/101 code. Either the circut to the maf is the issue, the maf itself or the MAP sensor is the problem. Not saying you have to shotgun parts at it, but you need to diag them one at a time to see where the problem lies.

Re: Car Sputters
so today before I drove the girlfriend to work I sprayed the lines down fast and wiggle the wires now it seems to be running good not bogging through the rpms
-
Re: Car Sputters
ok so the problem came back today when my mom was using my car went to where she parked it cleared the code started right up but sputtering climbing through the rpms again

Re: Car Sputters
tonight I was going it again and found a rip in the boot that runs from my CAI elbow to the throttlebody could this be why my car is running bad and the P0507 code ??

Re: Car Sputters
if thats between the maf sensor and TB, and was real loose, yeah it could.
-
Re: Car Sputters
could I use something to fix it for now to get around till tomorrow ??
-
Re: Car Sputters
you could try some tape, but that never seems to last long.
if you go to the parts store im sure you can find something in the help section to fix that up.
-
Re: Car Sputters
just tried to tape didn't help much lol dosent sputter so much tho when climbing through the rpms
-
Re: Car Sputters
wrap a few layers of tape around the nipple, put the vac boot/elbow back on, it should fit snug now, then tape the vac elbow. that would be the best your gonna get for a temp fix there.

Re: Car Sputters
and what is that part I need to get a new elbow ?
-
Re: Car Sputters
they didn't have a elbow so the gave me a piece of tube to use for now had to go to the gm dealer to order the elbow but the car is still giving me the P0507
-
Re: Car Sputters
you clear the code? or you just waiting to see if it goes off on its own? cause that can take a while to happen.
-
Re: Car Sputters
nope cleared it and came back on
-
Re: Car Sputters
and I also ordered the Ac Delco PVC Kit - 89017274 because one side of the clips that hold the map sensor broke a while ago
-
Re: Car Sputters
so now im getting the P0449 now everytime I start my car

Re: Car Sputters
it could be the purge solenoid, or the other one on top of the canister in the rear quarter panel. or bad wires to one of the sensor, or its unplugged maybe.
-
Re: Car Sputters
I did the one in the rear last month and I just put a new one on the one behind the throttle body
