I have been having this code come up and go away for quite awhile and I know that the usual fix is a new mass air meter but I dont want to spend $100 if I am not for sure. It all stated when I replaced the pcv valve and I thought that may be the problem so I replaced it with a whole new clip, o ring, spring, and pcv valve and the code kept coming up. I do have a K&N filter but I dont believe that to be the problem because I have cleaned the sensor multiple times and it has not helped. I have also tried tapping on the sensor while the car is idling and the rpm does not change at all. The only problems that I have noticed have been some idle issues every few starts where the car will idle really rough and almost die but if I give it gas a few times it usually goes away but it has died on me before and this does seem to trigger the light.

thats the low voltage code. check the wires to the maf for damage. if you see bare wire theres your issue.

    fuse 21 could be blown.

or the maf is dead. if its dead buy a used oem maf from a junk yard. they run like 40 bucks. if buying it on line, search the part # on the top of the maf.

after market mafs suck, and your car will hate it.

Ya I will probably just go that route and see if that fixes it.

I was looking on the forum and saw that somebody mentioned that you made a write up on how to replace the rack and pinion but I couldnt find it anywhere.

I know the front subframe has to be lowered but beyond that is it a very difficult job? Gonna have to tackle this job soon.

I've personally had good experiences with cardone remanufactured MAFs... I'm assuming these are OEM MAFs with the internal issues fixed.

your one of the few then. most its a waste of money. car runs like crap from the day they install it. and they wonder why the car runs bad still even tho its got a new maf.

im running a jy maf for the last 5 years now, best 40 i ever spent.

FWIW, I've got a few used MAF's depending on what year your car is.
