Okay and so last night my friend got to talking up his car (2004 Saturn Ion non Redline) and then made a mistake of saying that his car would eat mine for breakfast... Long story short I got next to him and did a 30 roll and for the beginning of the race we were side by side which really surprised me but at about 65 i pulled ahead and held him at a fender... Though I won I felt like my car was holding back and it's really bugging me.. What could be happening?

We need more info on your car. What engine do you have? Are you running any mods? That kind of stuff.

No surprise. You have a 200 hp 3600 lb car. It's slow. The 2004 Ion has 140 hp and is 1000 lbs lighter than your GP.

Redlines make a little more than 140hp.

    Minor details.

If you were only neck and neck with a car that makes 130ish horsepower and weights an avg of 2700 lbs, then you have a slow ass car.

My uncle had a 2003 or 04 Cavalier with the same 2.2 Ecotec and ran a 15.8 basically bone stock with a 5 speed.
