Is a 2008 gp se computer the same as a 2004 gp se.. Can they use the same performance chips..??

Some cars use BCM communications, some don't. Wiring to the PCM may be different between years and different options I really don't know wich does and wich does not. It's never a good idea to put a PCM in your car that doesn't belong.
And Any ''chips'' that you will find will be a compleate wast of you're time and money and do nothing for you're car.
If you're looking for performance go with a tuned PCM
GM has done so much changing around with the new body style (04+) that I'm not sure. More than likely it is the same, but I'm not 100% sure. All I know is with the older body style any PCM from 98-02 will work in any 98-02.
I have a 07 and they do not make a tune for it. But I have been told and read where people have been putting the 05 into the 07 and its working. The only problem is the fuel reads wrong. But it was the supercharged ones not the SE.
Just stay away from anything you have to add to you're car. The only thing bennefictial to these cars are to tune the pcm electronicly.
