I have recently heard a strange noise intermittently coming from the engine on my 2000 GT. It almost sounds like what you'd hear if you rattled a chain around...not sure if it's great to drive it like that, but it's my only car. Opinions?

Can you upload the sound? be easier to tell if ppl can hear it.

Need to be a little more descriptive of when it happens. At idle, in gear, while driving, with A/C on or off???

Sounds like the clutch on the a/c compressor.

We need more info.
Possibles that I see:
AC bearings
Piston rod to crank bearings
Flexplate cracking
