It just started doing it after I got a tune
Go back to the stock tune if you can maybe something fudged up
- Faulty Ignition Control Module
- Ignition Control Module harness is open or shorted
- Ignition Control Module circuit poor electrical connection
Those are the causes.
I just swapped 3 different icms on it. All of which were on a good running car. Also checked the ground and is good
What would the fuse be under?
Does this look stock? Its got 2 wires that go into 1 wire than into the icm connector
I took off the whole icm engine mount bracket and ripped the wire loom and tape off the wires and it seemed that they looked all fine. And I messed with them alittle and put it all back together and now it doesnt seem to be doing it. I might drive the car to work tomorrow to see if it still does it.
The old one was going no where.
Right..it had only been posted in yesterday. I should lock this one too... Just because I don't feel it's going anywhere either.
Honestly dude. I work 7-7 everyday and from 8-12 im building a shed and fence so I cant exactly be looking up stuff to fix my car. Sad thing is, I need to drive to work everyday. It sucks dude
Just when I thought I heard it all.....
It's not our responsibility to fix your sh*t. Sure we can help and guide you in the right direction... But when your not making the effort...... Just take it to a mechanic then and pay the price. Sell your 4,0000 hp Camaro if needed.
How am I not making the effort? Ive done everything that everyone has suggested.
Honestly Dudette.... I'm at work by 6am and it's a longer drive as they moved us to another site while renovating the building, so add an extra tank of gas each week. When I'm out, I have two houses to maintain yards at, while helping my aging parents, plus two dogs etc etc etc.. and I can go on with projects and things that have to be done for years. Let's add in that I recently moved 20 ton of rock for the shed site.. since you likely don't know what a ton is..that equates to 40,000lbs of rock that I shoveled and moved, next up is modifying the fence, also I learned about inground sprinkler systems too. If you'd like to compare.. please bring it on. Ohhhhh and I try and help people with their cars when I can. Speaking of.. I made time before a party for a fellow forumer that needed a trans swap on Saturday.
When I have a problem.. I take the time to at least google the code or learn what might be causing it. What you call searching is a poor excuse for being lazy.
I imagine you have a cell phone with crap loads of data that you can use. Google it on a break and go from there. Don't complain about lack of time to us. I wok 40+ hours a week, 2 kids under the age of 5 and a full time student. I go to work, then school, then home, homework then bed. I still find time to get the car done amongst other home projects. You need to manage your time more wisely.........in other words, quit being a sissy and get it done.
Remember this, name changes come easy when you upset the wrong people..........
I work 46 hours a week minimum. I am a student. I have after work jobs that I have to do till 11-12 at night. So I really have no time. At the moment I am in the bathroom at work. So yea.
It seems like it doesnt do it anymore. Im thinking either the ground or a wire is messed up somewhere. I put it all back together last night an made some test runs and it seems better.
Ill know later on
