Since I disconnected the cruise control cable from TB, the RPM went back to normal around 800. The high idle code also cleared on its own. Now the car seems a little sluggish while accelerating. I like to have my cruise control cable back on since I drive the highway a lot. Does anyone know how to make the adjustment to the clip at the end of the cruise control cable? I have tried every thing to get the clip unlocked to make the adjustment.

George..no adjustment needed. Plus I don't believe that clip has any adjuster. Just mess with the cable on the strut tower and you'll get it to behave. Afterall.. a simple disconnect and likely bumping it was all it took to get it out of whack.

Bill I will give it a try. I will also take a photo of the cruise control clip because it sure does look like it's adjustable. Again Bill thanks for your advise even if it doesn't work! Just kidding! George

Hey..some are adjustable. I said that to get you to realize that the only thing that changed was you dinking around with it. :th_nanana:

Yea I was dinking around with it until I bent the bracket a 1/4 inch and idle back to normal with both cables attached. I got to stop dinking with my things! LOL! Thanks for your help Bill!

Here is an update after two weeks after an overall maintenance at 99,500 miles. Maintenance included replacement of LIM/UIM gaskets, valve cover gaskets, thermostat with gasket, heater/radiator hoses, serpentine belt, water pump with gasket, aluminum elbows, anti-freeze flush/replacement, cleaned out UIM, LIM, & throttle body, and oil change.
Car is running great, temperature is now running normal, no leaks or codes!
I want to thanks everyone here in helping out with advice.

Glad to hear it's all working out for you. I was reading this thread and didn't see coolant elbows on your list - Until post #27. Good call to replace those.
I would also suggest replacing fuel injector o-rings when you have the fuel rail off (you prob did). Since your naturally aspirated, it would have been an good time to replace the stock runners with a HV3 if you ever cared to try that.
Anyways, good on ya for taking this on. These type of projects create lots of confidence. Now you are ready to install new rockers, cai, downpipe and a tuned pcm. ;-)~

Actually I did have the coolant elbows on the list. Sorry but I really dont need to install all those extra parts. Cant make a muscle car out a FWD car in my opinion. Its just a driver for me, my two classic cars are muscle cars.
