When I take my foot off the gas the RPMs shoot up and the car accelerate by itself for 1-2 sec then slows down in speed, then 5 sec later it dose it agaien and agaien untill I hit the gas. When I drive it feels like the parking break is on because my car keeps slowing down then speeding up randomly (well foot off the gas), but it not the parking break at all. It only dose this when my foot is off the gas. I just had my tires aligned like a month ago. I have no idea whats going on! Thanks for the help and support. I have a 2001 Grand Prix GT 3.8

Either vacuum leak or bad maf. Unplug the maf and see if it still does it.

Does it do that while driving?
If so it's not the IAC. it could be the MAF.

MAF is bad, I get a code on it. Have not had the chance to buy a new one yet.

Only driving, idles perfect (my TPS is new only 3-6months old). Yes the MAF is bad, never got a chance to fix it yet, but the MAF been bad for a wile, just started doing this a week ago. I guess I'll order a new MAF unit. Thanks everyone!
