    Just wondering if this has been done. And if so, who has done it. Want to replace mine soon and wanted to do this. Ideas???

    the updated version that they'll sell you at the parts store will not crack/explode like the stock one.

    the L26 UIM in which you are referencing won't give you any gains and the stove pipe for the EGR must be modified for it to be run on your motor.

    it's literally a waste of time and money. and yes, i had an L26 UIM on my car.

    So basically just buy the updated one when/if it goes. Works for me. Only $81 plus taxes. Thanks.
