Hello GP forums, I have a 2008 GP Base and the heat dose not work at all when sitting still and the engine is heated up, also, when driving I have to be driving for awhile before I get any heat at all and my water temp gauge is above half and really the heat isnt even the hot. I should be burning up in the car but i am actually freezing. So, the question is what it could be. What i am thinking is a coolant flush is in order or the coolant level is low. What dose the people of GP forums think? Thanks in advanced of any info.

your heater core has air in it. to test this, when the car is warmed up touch both heater hoses that lead off the fire wall, if one is hot and the other cold or both cold its air bound. if both are hot its the blend door actuators most likely.

to flush the core, take the 2 hose off the back of the alt bracket, put a garden hose to one hose and flush it till a steady stream of water comes out the other hose, then flush it via the other hose. then put the 2 hoses back on. heat should work now.
