Wow, that's terrible. I knew the older stock intakes were worse than the newer ones, but I never would have imagined that.

Wizaired CAI is the best out there according to the numbers.

I don't think we have a mod writeup on how to open the old restrictive air box yet? I know there are many out there.
debadged, clear corners, 20% tint, tinted tails, vibrant performance tips, red painted calipers, Fig. grills, autometer guages, PFYC 3 pod A pillar, SLP CAI, 2.5" DP, SD Hood, SD front air damn, Gen I spoiler, 17X8 Borbet Type M rims, engine upgrades soon!

Heres a video of my GT with the Thrasher CAI on it, they're pretty much the same thing aren't they? But the video doesn't capture the sound of it really good though. Its a lot louder.

What's so different about the wizaired and K&N intakes? I'm looking to get a new intake very soon and I was going to go with the K&N but should I get the wizaired? It seems like it's more complicated to put together and does it come with a cone filter? The pic on zzp didn't show one and I'm kind of confused.

the wizaired has a cover, so it's got a box surrounding it from the engine compartment.... the k&n doesnt have a full box, rather just a divider... should come with fiter, i think

I have the Wizaired and bought one for my sons GTP. It does not come with a filter. We have the AEM driflow filter from Summitracing. I don't like the idea of an oiled filter.

As mentioned. when the Wizaired is installed it totally seals the intake air from the engine heat. Some like the K&N CAI doesn't do this. There is one of the other Wbody CAI, that gets very hot inside because of the box material. I don't remember what that one is but GeddyLee can tell you.

I bought the Wizaired because of the data backing it up on ZZPs website. I bought a 9" K&N filter. The kit doesnt come with a filter. Like it was said the Wizaired blocks off all the engine compartment heat. I think they even had infared pics to support their product. They claim it is number one due to the fact it takes more into consideration than just flow. The links really explain why a CAI is so important.
I even cut my fender opening bigger. I love my box and glad I bought it. Woke the car up.
