I hv an 08 na grand prix. I started it the other day and it ran like a bag of poop. I brang it In to the shop and it showed up with two codes. 171 & 300. Bank one running lean and multiple random misfire. The coil that feeds number 2 $5 coil pack wasn't firing. So I changed the coil with no luck. I chevked the pcv cleaned the tb. My battery terminals were corroded bad so I disconnected the battery cables to clean em up and now it won't start at all. It will turn over buf that's it. I started the first time after disconnecting the battery and it ran for 6 seconds and died.
I have no idea were to look now. Any help would be appreciated. It has 133000kms and well maintained.

You have a vacuum leak. Try holding the throttle down a little while starting

the p0171 is a vacuum leak. Spray some starting fluid in the tb and try to start it again.

I'd try unplugging the MAF and see if it wants to start.

Just tried it with no luck. A couple weeks before this happened I noticed that I was losing power slowly. The day before my problems happened I stepped on it and it took off slow and sounded like I had a leak in my xhaust manifold but I don't.... just thinking now maybe my cat.

I brang it to the garage and was told that my brand new coil don't work it was #2&#5 coil that wasn't working. So I purchased a new coil and Ippurchased a new icm. My question is the icm I bought isn't a gm or ac delco replacement. I bought one from napa for half the price, was this a good idea? I kno sumtimes our cars don't like cheap products. Can I mess sumthing up by using cheap electronic parts

swap the new coil in, see how it does, if its still acting up put the new icm in. new parts should be ok. napa does sell good parts, so i dont think id worry about it to much.

My fix was the flange sealing the tube to the valve.
