Any codes? What motor
my car does the same, only on the really hot days.. my mechanic says its the cam shaft postioning sensor starting to fail, with all the heat it starts to lose contact then when engine cools it has contact and starts right up..
Try cleaning the throttle body. My 04 used to only start when it was cold out and I would need to push the gas to get it to start if it was warm or the engine was warm. While you are cleaning the throttle body you should also clean the MAF since it is right there
04+ is completely different than 97-03
I had a similar thing occur on my mom's 96 regal with an L36. It would not start at times after the car had been running for awhile. Turned out to be the fuel pressure regulator. Once I swapped that, the car started and ran fine even after it ran for awhile.
