Go aluminum, peace of mind. Be careful installing them though, Bill actually pointed out in another thread that if you use too much force with the aluminum ones, it is possible to crack the timing cover.

Its quite easy and you should do it instead of taking it to a shop. I actually just did mine because the top elbow cracked and leaked coolant EVERYWHERE! Your going to have to take your belt off, unbolt the alternator which is a few bolts then the bracket that goes from alternator to the engine also take off the heater core mount thing which is 3, 15mm bolts. Its like 7 total bolts to take off everything so it should take you no more than an hour to fix it. If your plastics break off inside the holes do not worry because you can take a screwdriver and pull them out thats what I did but make sure you get all the pieces out!. I bought new plastic elbows which were $3.99 at autozone. "Part Number: 47065" Make sure you slide them into the heater core first then slide them into the engine slowly then take the 3, 15mm bolts and start putting them in equally to make sure its slides in correctly.

Hope this helps, Also I found a few youtube videos on this problem that happens quite often.

P.S. Make sure you but the belt on right!!!
