Hello, new to this site. I just recently bought a 1999 grand prix gt 3800. There were a few things that needed to be fixed on it like temp sensor and the cooling elbows and had the tranny serviced. The car has 189000 miles on it. when i bought the had done the head gasket and intake gaskets(both) new plugs and wires. The car had a slight miss when idling so i checked the plugs and they were fine. come to find out the pvc was missing the rubber o ring so fixed that and ran great, for a few days. It then began to miss again and got worse quick, to the point that the ses light started flashing at idle then stay constant hen driving. took it to the shop and they said it had a mis fire on #3. checked spark gets good spark. checked compression and #3 only had 100lbs they put a little bit of oil in it and it raised up 10lbs to 110lbs compression. they then tried to put a scope on it to see if they could see if it was a burnt valve but could not get the scope or camera to turn. they believe it is a burnt or bad valve. but under acceleration the car seems to still have the same amount of power it did before the miss. Any thought or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I am no longer driving the car it sits in my carport. i have spent all my money trying to get this fixed. I love the car and there is lots of room. I am a single father and just need a good car for me and my son.
Thank you
Jayson
