L76 springs and LS1 retainers.
Yea it'll be boring lol. Just anything so I can beat on this car again, I can't even really go into boost without the car throwing a fit, makes a hell of a racket for a couple of days till she calms down again. I just need something that runs right for now.
you dont want boost then :D
To late, I'm already addicted lol
Anything to hear the btch whine again
The one question I forgot to ask: will the L26 flexplate work out fine with my torque converter?
flexplate matches the motor, not the trans.
Gotchya, I wasn't sure if the torque converters were different or not
they are.
but newer plates are dual pattern?
Slight question, I am about to do a Top swap, I've got a guy, willing to sell me those parts (They comes from a '98 GTP, my GT is a 2000, everything should fit?):
-Heads from SC motor
-Harmonic Balancer From the SC motor
-Tensioner for SC belt
-Idlers for Sc belt
-Coil Pack Bracket
-Lower Intake Manifold from the SC motor
-Fuel Rail
-Fuel Injectors
-Supercharger
-Supercharger Belt
-Throttle Body from SC motor
Is there everything?
Then I plan on getting the Gasket kit on ZZP (Emailed them so they add the rocker bolts to it for convenience) , S/C oil, 180 Thermostat, AL104.
A overkilled pcm tune for the top swap.
And then get the coolant, oil, filters locally.
I have my mech ready to do everything with me. So I took the OP infos, was there all the torque specs?
And now I just saw something about the MAP Sensor, do I need to change it, or will my L36 Map sensor work fine after the top swap?
things you should do right away so you dont have to do it later: ARP head and rocker bolts. seriously.
a tune from a local specific to your car would be best if you can find someone.
you need the L67 map sensor. it is 2 bar map, which youll need so your PCM can read boost.
but then you'll have to use an L67 bin.
which you should use in the first place..
indeed.
Was injector connectors an 01+ only thing?
umm i think. i know impala l36 connectors are the different ones. mine on the 99 are ev6
on my 98 the L67 injectors clipped right in.
yeah i think 97-03 grand pirxs are all good. its the other cars with l36's that have the problems
No.
My 2002 had multec's, had to throw on some HV1's.
Its either 2000+ or 2001+ L36 cars.
hmm not sure then.
Hmmm so is therr a problem with the injectors? And for the map, is the one on zzp good to go? Oh and will the l36 maf work with the top swap?
Ps: these cars rock in snow and ice, the handling is perfect, didn't even feel that snowstorm I was in for 150km.
you'll wanna use L67 injectors, connectors migth be different.
L36 MAF works, but again you'll want to use the L67 TB.
