I've been running a 180 for 5 years, Just made me feel comfortable seeing the temp needle sit below the 1/2 mark(just a tick above 1/4).
What kind of benefit would I see going back to a 195? or should I just leave it cuz if it ain't broke?

    better gas mileage.

i don't think the 180* thermostat does anything to reduce detonation, especially on a n/a car.

A good clean coolant system with a good radiator cap and a 195* thermostat will always be better than just slapping a 180* thermostat in.

The Southern Heat is the only reason I run a 180, never had a problem...yet and on the open TX roads I get 28-30MPG at 70mph Cruise Control.

I got 180 cause it gets really hot in spring and summer time over here in So Cal. Nice clean Coolant with 180 Tstat and had the needle under the half and over the 1/4 mark. Best spot for that needle to stay at spot.
