Not exactly should be cheaper to price things out through rockauto and then get anything you can't get from them from Zzp.

Tuning a car to 0 KR means running less than ideal timing or running richer than ideal.

    Both are a compromise.

I won't suggest different exhaust or things like that because you're decided on your path, but just know that it is a compromise.

Both myself and Bill have commented on ZZP gaskets many times.

We both don't like their valve cover gaskets, because they don't fit well.

Bill doesn't like their LIM gaskets.

In case you're wondering about why ZZP head gaskets are cheaper than L67 and are specific to each bank, it's because they sell L36 headgaskets. Keep that in mind when comparing prices at other places.

Highly suggest having the rough casting of the heads worked over and a valve job.

If you have the time, there's a guide on CGP. I had pretty good results using that guide, despite my stock valvetrain.

You need to listen to us.

    Get headers.

You'll be just fine with SD's or SSAC's but if you still refuse, keep browsing the classifieds. Used headers will come up eventually. Take mine for example, SLP Headers for $300 shipped. Fitment was perfect.
'97 GTP - Stage 2 Heads, 90# Springs, 1.9 Harland Sharp Rockers, Gen V, 3.0, Intake, N* TB, LQ4, FSIC, 10.5mm Wires, Poly Mounts, SLP Headers, Borla Exaust, Built Trans - SOLD*

    '08 G8 GT - 6.7L 408CI Stroker, 239/254 Cam, Fast Intake, 102mm TB, CAI, Full Exhaust.

SD headers fit fine, use felpro gaskets and band clamps at the joint and you will be fine.

First off great gift bro, the S/C is better than nothing since you wanted to go Turbo. I really want to see the results after the swap is complete.

Secondly, i did want to do a Top Swap when i had the GP a couple of years ago and before i joined this site i found out from 4 differ people to invest in headers before the swap. The header seem to be the best mod to help support the S/C with more flow, then get a tune and stick on a Cone Filter and your ready to go.

When i got on the forum i found out they were right on the headers, and that i also found out there would be so much work to do the swap and $$$ so i just forgot about it. But id go with the other guys on the Headers since they have done it before. Im not a know it all on this stuff but i think you can keep your DP with headers. i think?

Oh ok, ya I've never done the mods so I don't know with the dp and headers but I've just had lots of people say they are a must have when they did the top swap. Good luck with the swap bro, hope it goes well.

    I'd run that setup.

But you're going to be on the larger side for pulley. Low end torque all over the place.
