Had a guy stop by the shop the other day with a newer buick with a oil leak. Guessing park avenue. Anyways I took a quick look at it, the leak is on the front of the motor but above the oil filter and housing and only leaks when the motor is running. Not a steady stream but rather a steady drip.

Had him check for oil filter housing for cracks and double oil filter gaskets. No problems. Doesnt appear to be coming from the sending unit either.

Is the cam cover prone to leaking? I'm sure the guy will be taking it to a mechanic but I'm just curious.

Whats up man? nice car. And welcome to the community.

Anyway, Depending on how many miles it has i guess anything can leak...Prone to leaking? Not that i've heard of. LIM gaskets ect.....yeah.

What about The main seals on the timing chain cover? Nother thing to possible check.

Could be the LIM gaskets leaking from that corner... or a valve cover gasket leaking.
