My 08 gp failed Missouri emissions inspection due to o2 sensors not reading the same, tech told me it's 90% likely replacing converter will solve this problem. My question is this: Is this a job I can do myself relatively easily? I've done basic auto maintenance (brake pads/calipers, changing starter, replace plugs, etc.) in the past but I'm no mechanic.

Should only be 4 bolts. 2 at the manifold and 2 at the catback section. The cat is welded into a whole downpipe section.

They might be tough to get off, but seeing how the car is only 5 years old and the state you live in, I'd say they'll still come off somewhat easy.

I suggest you buy a quality cat converter and not a cheap highflow cat so you wont have this problem again.
