Can someone please tell me where the engine coolant temperature sensor and fan relays are located on '97-'99 3.8 motor with the plastic intake manifold? I'd like to test the circuitry tomorrow. I have a wiring diagram and meter. My radiator fans never come on under any conditions, so I'm guessing the temp sensor is bad.
The car operates OK with no fans on highway or country roads, but it really sweats in the city lol. I'm afraid I'm going to cook my plastic intake manifold soon, but so far the coolant level looks good.
The A/C clutch solenoid is bad too, so I can't test the fans by operating the A/C. It appears that the A/C circuit only activates the fans when the high side freon pressure exceeds some value when the compressor runs
Thansk so much in advance!!
Here's a link to the coolant temp sensor I'm trying to find on my '97 3.8L motor: http://www.wellsve.com/custom_search...p?partno=TU178
